Profile

Jon Fielding

Architect | Artist | Photographer

Jon is a London-based architect and visual artist whose work investigates the intersection of human experience and the built environment. With a 25-year career as a director of architecture and urban design for world-leading studios, Jon’s artistic practice is a natural extension of his work in the city—moving from the macro-scale of masterplanning to the intimate, fragmented lens of monochromatic photography, digital montage and original collage.

His compositions—often blending the structural rigour of his architectural roots and training at the University of Sheffield with the spontaneity of street photography—reconstruct everyday scenes to reveal hidden social rhythms. Moving beyond the constraints of the physical city, his work also ventures into the ‘theatre of the unreal,’ using collage to construct dream-like, reimagined landscapes and speculative histories, where Jon’s work collapses the boundaries between urban documentation and abstract storytelling.

Jon’s multidisciplinary approach is driven by a commitment to human-centred design and the belief that the city is an active collaborator in our personal narratives.
